Alex Droubay currently lives in Charlotte, North Carolina, although recently he’s been living somewhere along the Continental Divide as he works his way from north to south on the CDT. Given that he’s also thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail and Appalachian Trail (in addition to the John Muir Trail and Colorado Trail), Alex will soon be a Triple Crowner. (Congrats, Alex!) When he’s not hiking 30-plus miles a day, Alex works at REI and enjoys exploring his home range, including the Linville Gorge and Roan Highlands (particularly in the fall). If outdoor activities fall into “uphill” and “downhill” camps, Alex is firmly on the “uphill” end of the spectrum, but he’s always willing to pack the extra weight of a decent camera to capture his adventures.
