David contributes to much of Better Trail’s vision, strategy, and execution, but loves nothing more than getting his hands dirty in the worlds of content creation and user experience. Previously, David founded Switchback Travel, bootstrapped the site into one of the internet’s top resources for outdoor gear and adventure information, and helped it win multiple Avantlink Content Site of the Year awards, before it was acquired in 2020. With Better Trail, he is excited to build an impactful media company that empowers people to get outdoors while bringing the critical issues of sustainability and public lands to the forefront. David grew up in Boulder, Colorado, and lives there now with his wife and two children.
