Jenny levels up Better Trail in every way, including helping to create the site’s most important content, leading hiring (mostly through her instagram feed), managing the editorial team, and working on all things creative. Despite being extremely humble (she’ll never tell you about her exploits unless pressed), she has been a rock climber for 10+ years and climbed throughout the US, Canada, Patagonia, Brazil, Colombia, Spain, the UK, and Morocco. She’s also an avid mountain runner, having pioneered the North Cascades High Route with Kaytlyn Gerbin and has notable FKTs including La Vuelta al Hielo in Patagonia, the Tantalus Traverse in BC, and Mt. Goode in Washington State. Prior to Better Trail, Jenny was a Senior Editor at Switchback Travel and a freelance writer for publications like Alpinist, Climbing Mag, Sidetracked, Adventure Journal, and REI.

Growing up in Abbotsford, BC—on the Canadian side of the North Cascades—Jenny now lives in Leavenworth, Washington, although she can sometimes still be found trying to relive the good ol' days in her '95 GMC Safari van, Ol' Blue (when it's not in the repair shop).
