TSM has finalized a deal with Singaporean coach Wong “Chawy” Xing Lei to make him the League of Legends team’s new head coach for the 2022 LCS season, sources familiar with the deal told Dot Esports. Chawy’s contract with Hong Kong Attitude, the PCS team he had been coaching for the past year, expired on Nov. 16.
TSM’s signing of Chawy follows Bjergsen’s departure from the organization. The longtime mid laner was TSM’s head coach last season but he’s decided to return to pro play this year, reportedly for Team Liquid. Chawy started his playing career in 2012 as a mid laner on teams like Taipei Assasins, Singapore Sentinels, Ahq Esports, and Hong Kong Attitude.
