League and VALORANT to introduce more tournaments for marginalized genders in 2023

Riot Games is set to increasingly host tournaments for marginalized genders across its titles starting in 2023. The expansion will directly and immediately involve VALORANT, while Riot’s more seasoned title, League of Legends, will need a bit more time before presenting an established tournament ecosystem for marginalized genders.

VALORANT recently crowned G2 Gozen the first world champions of the VCT Game Changers scene two years after the beginning of the circuit. With the establishment of Game Changers, Riot created its first circuit open to marginalized genders across its titles and did so in VALORANT, which only launched in 2020.
